3/27 | SPRINT ROBOTICS AT A GLANCE

SPRINT Robotics at a glance

The SPRINT Robotics Collaborative is an industry-driven initiative that promotes the development, availability and application of robotics techniques in technical inspections, maintenance and operation of capital-intensive infrastructure.

The collaborative aims to achieve field use of I&M robotics of capital-intensive infrastructure assets on a large scale to address immediate needs and long-term industry priorities. In moving towards this goal, one major focus of SPRINT Robotics is to engage and bring together the whole value chain, from end users to service and technology providers. SPRINT Robotics helps develop best practices, fast-track innovations, remove barriers to entry, and encourage knowledge sharing. These efforts enable end users to reduce cost, increase quality, and control the risk of inspection activities.

Founded in 2015, SPRINT Robotics has become an internationally recognized platform for I&M Robotics with a support base of nearly 100 organizations globally.

SRAP

SRAP Coordinator: Anthony Biviano (Woodside)

Bringing industry, end-users, and vendors together to share and develop real use cases progresses innovation and creates a sustainable robotics market to allow all collaborators to thrive.

SREU

SREU Coordinator:  Ekkehard Zwicker (Waygate Technologies)

“The European Chapter played an active role in setting up and influencing the European Robotics Roadmap which will help to guide the research activities as well as future research grants into a direction we regard as key for our industry. A main achievement was to get Inspection & Maintenance as one of the four key pillars of robotic activities in European robotic research.”

SRNA

SRNA Coordinator:  Eric Sjerve  (IRISNDT)

“SRNA has significantly accelerated the use of commercially available systems by connecting directly with end users at their sites of operation, while also facilitating their continued development supported by asset owner needs.”
